Comfort Rated - all conditions
Many hunters, both men and women, just over the past few years have discovered the benefits of wearing a comfort liner under wool or wool blended socks. While our top of the line Merino Wool is the finest in the world and has an exceptionally soft hand compared to others, some sportsmen prefer to have a neutral layer between the sock and skin. Not only does this protect sensitive skin but it adds a whole other dimension in wicking and temperature control. For ultimate protection, heat and cool retention, and superior wicking of moisture, we recommend our SPT603 Liner™ for all hunters, fishermen and any active outdoor sport enthusiast.

Ideal Uses: Any Slog that normally Invites Blisters
Mohair, the prize wool of the long-haired Angora goat, originated centuries ago in Central Turkey, and today, it is one of the oldest textiles still in use. Mohair is a unique and natural short staple wool known for its strength, high luster, sheen, and smooth handle. These qualities combine to give Mohair its most notable characteristic: BLISTER RESISTANCE. Blisters are caused when friction and moisture combine to irritate the skin. Mohair fibers, however, are constructed of large, flat scales that reduce friction by their very nature and boast unique wicking properties which help the skin to stay dry, comfortable, and free from chaffing. Add to this Mohair’s inability to retain odor, its notable insulating properties and breathability, and the fact that its performance has been shown to improve with wear; and one can see more than enough reason to utilize this yarn in an outdoor sock. Introducing . . . the STAMINA!
The Stamina is the middleweight prodigy of our Slog Series family. Our motivation for this sock sprung from the success that Twin City Knitting has seen in the athletic realm with its Blister Resister. The Blister Resister’s claim to fame rests with the Mohair fibers knit in the heel and toe. For the Slog Series, we decided that Mohair was good enough to go into the entire sock. The Stamina boasts durability with unique wicking and insulating properties; does not retain odor, and one of its most notable traits is blister resistance. Also, the more your feet sweat in our Staminas, and the more the sock wears, the more effectively the fibers perform to protect your feet. For versatility, we offer the Stamina in crew, quarter, and roll lengths. If a propensity for blisters causes you to shy away from the occasional slog, then let the Stamina be your first-aid field kit.

Home --> Information on the different series Information on the different seriesSlog Series Green
At Twin City Knitting, we embrace a straightforward motto: “Keep it simple; do it right; and do it better than anyone else.” Doing it right inevitably involves being good stewards of our environment and earth’s resources. Slog Series Green is all about stewardship, and good stewardship begins with what goes into our products.
Going green can be a nebulous concept that evokes a plethora of complex strategies and approaches, and sadly, these, more often than not, result in the jeopardizing of quality and/or performance. However, this need not be. When it comes to actual product content and performance technology, if done right, it’s actually possible to enhance performance while promoting stewardship. Consider three viable alternatives: renewable resources, recycled materials, and/or some combination of both. TCK’s focus is never singular, so with selective prudence, we found a way to embrace all three while sustaining a sock’s ability to do what Slog Series does best: endure a real slogfest. And, we rigorously punished these products out in the elements just to confirm it.
Are you looking for all-weather outdoor performance derived from renewable resources, recycled materials, or a little of both? Check out Slog Series Green, a product trio (the Talus, the Trace, & the Terrace) that runs the gamut of stewardship without compromising functionality or the superior quality and innovation that has characterized TCK products for nearly half a century.
About TCK Slog Series
The Slog Series, TCK's outdoor product line, was inaugurated in 2006; and the concept was born in the mind of a local mountaineer who had been using some of TCK's Athletic socks for years as efficient and durable tools in the backcountry. Having returned from several weeks in the Patagonian Andes with nothing but praise for the performance of TCK's Coach's Sideline Sock on the trail, this local adventurer implored TCK to make its longstanding and superior simplicity, quality, and product performance available in the outdoor market and for those who brave rugged terrain and punishing elements on a consistent basis. Out of such pleas, the Slog Series was born.
Our Slog Series products have been carefully crafted to bridge the spectrum of outdoor activity, and these have been put to the test by outdoor enthusiasts in extreme circumstances all over the globe. Whether such involves crossing Nepal's Thorung La in a raging blizzard or bushwhacking to the top of an Appalachian Sixer; whether it's a bitter cold wind on the summit of a 6000 meter peak in the Ladakh, Himalayas or eccentric weather in Tierra del Fuego; whether one is slogging through South Asian urban jungles, traipsing above the Arctic Circle in Scandinavia, peakbagging in the Sierra Nevada, or bicycling across the United States, the reviews have been rave. We do not stake our claims on bells and whistles, just innovative design and quality products done simply, done right, and done better than anyone else.
The Hunter's Foot story
We are Socks designed for Hunters by Hunters. That's exactly what this line is. The founders of this company are long time hunters, wildlife conservationist, ranchers and avid outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen. The culmination of their knowledge and experience spans over a 30 year period of time. What is most significant of their findings is there really has never been a true line of high performance hunting socks made for participants of our sport. Sure, there are socks, mostly reworked, repackaged work socks, but never a line designed from the ground up that will do what it is suppose to do and that is to offer a quality item designed for all hunting situations, climates and perform to expectations.
We got to work, enlisted the help and expertise from the finest sock manufacturer in the USA. We drafted in the highest quality yarns and fibers in the world. We poured in all the comfort and performance features we could and made them look good as well. The result, the highest quality hunting sock line made today. This line does what it says it will. You'll stay dry, stay warm, stay comfortable. You'll hunt longer, hunt better.
That's who we are, that's what we do, the Hunter's Foot™ LLC, the Hunting Sock Authority.
