Comfort Rated - all conditions
Many hunters, both men and women, just over the past few years have discovered the benefits of wearing a comfort liner under wool or wool blended socks. While our top of the line Merino Wool is the finest in the world and has an exceptionally soft hand compared to others, some sportsmen prefer to have a neutral layer between the sock and skin. Not only does this protect sensitive skin but it adds a whole other dimension in wicking and temperature control. For ultimate protection, heat and cool retention, and superior wicking of moisture, we recommend our SPT603 Liner™ for all hunters, fishermen and any active outdoor sport enthusiast.

Ideal Uses: Any Slog that normally Invites Blisters
Mohair, the prize wool of the long-haired Angora goat, originated centuries ago in Central Turkey, and today, it is one of the oldest textiles still in use. Mohair is a unique and natural short staple wool known for its strength, high luster, sheen, and smooth handle. These qualities combine to give Mohair its most notable characteristic: BLISTER RESISTANCE. Blisters are caused when friction and moisture combine to irritate the skin. Mohair fibers, however, are constructed of large, flat scales that reduce friction by their very nature and boast unique wicking properties which help the skin to stay dry, comfortable, and free from chaffing. Add to this Mohair’s inability to retain odor, its notable insulating properties and breathability, and the fact that its performance has been shown to improve with wear; and one can see more than enough reason to utilize this yarn in an outdoor sock. Introducing . . . the STAMINA!
The Stamina is the middleweight prodigy of our Slog Series family. Our motivation for this sock sprung from the success that Twin City Knitting has seen in the athletic realm with its Blister Resister. The Blister Resister’s claim to fame rests with the Mohair fibers knit in the heel and toe. For the Slog Series, we decided that Mohair was good enough to go into the entire sock. The Stamina boasts durability with unique wicking and insulating properties; does not retain odor, and one of its most notable traits is blister resistance. Also, the more your feet sweat in our Staminas, and the more the sock wears, the more effectively the fibers perform to protect your feet. For versatility, we offer the Stamina in crew, quarter, and roll lengths. If a propensity for blisters causes you to shy away from the occasional slog, then let the Stamina be your first-aid field kit.
